Two scholarship awards of $500 and $250 respectively are available to journalism students who live or study in
Winners may attend a two-year or four-year college or university, and be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student. All entrants must be committed to pursuing a career in journalism.
Deadlines:
* All applications must be received by 5 p.m.
Applications must consist of these items:
1. A cover letter or resume including:
* Your full name, address, e-mail address and phone number;
* The name of your college, your current year (i.e., sophomore) and major
* A list of your journalism experience (courses, student newspapers, etc.)
* Any plans for future study (transferring to a four-year college, graduate school, fellowship, etc.)
* Anything else we should know about you.
2. Three clips of your best journalism work. Tear sheets are acceptable; so are Web site or Word print-outs. Photographers or multimedia journalists may submit active links or burn their work onto a CD.
