The best journalism party of the year is the EBPC's Annual Awards Dinner, being held this year on Friday, June 25 at the Silver Dragon, 835 Webster St. in Oakland's Chinatown.

We'll announce the winners of this year's contest  and award a college scholarship to the "College Journalist of the Year."

Cocktails are at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 and program featuring MC Kevin Fagan at 8 p.m.

It's gonna be great!

The East Bay Press Club is an all-volunteer nonprofit group dedicated to promoting excellence in journalism in Alameda, Contra Costa, San Joaquin and Solano counties. We host an annual awards contest and give scholarships to area college students.

Open to all contributors to newspapers, magazines or Web sites that cover Alameda, Contra Costa, San Joaquin or Solano counties.

Two scholarships also available for outstanding student journalists.
